CHANGING SOMETHING SO IT WORKS FOR YOU...

As you know we went to the Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester and we learnt many different skills when applying them to drawing. Even though the purpose of the tasks was to feel free I couldn't help working into the sketches I created because I thought they looked too flat on the page and lifeless. I worked into them adding some stitching and a contrast of black and white making the composition more dramatic. I ripped and tore up leaflets that related to the experience of being there so it summed up the day and was a guide to my inspiration. I kept the theme of journey and made my own little map of the day making it memorable for me because I don't look back on just pencil and paper.
