DESIGNING MY OWN BODICE..

I thought I would start with something simple by tracing off a fitted bodice block and then inserting design lines diagonally up to the right bust point. This separated the bodice into 3 panels so I inserted gathering strips in these panels to make the bodice look more interesting. I think has worked very nicely because the colours complement each other and I could imagine it with netting making it into a dress. The ruffles still need hack tacking making the edge neater and over locking the edge and then it will be ready for photographing. It looks worse when it's flat so I need to model it on mannequin really, but you get the idea.
